Lead up events for Cancer Battler Cup

• Wednesday, May 4, from 5-9pm Pizza Shoppe (North 7 Hwy across from Price Chopper) will donate 20% of the night’s receipts to Cancer Battler Cup II. Just tell them your ticket should go toward those battling cancer.
• Tickets for Sporting Kansas City’s June 17th & 25th games in the brand new LIVESTRONG Sporting Park at The Legends are for sale for $25 (regular $35). Contact Bob Rusert at rrusert@bssd.net . (If you want to add another contact for this to make it more convenient, please do so.)

Cancer Battler Cup Information:

Date: Thursday, May 12 at BSHS’s Peve Stadium
Time: JV 5:00pm Varsity 6:30 (actual Cup game)

Goal: to raise funds to aid the Jennifer Ireland Foundation in their mission to provide financial assistance to those in need who are currently battling cancer

• T-shirts celebrating the event will be available prior to and during the event for $10. Email rrusert@bssd.net to order your shirt.
• Youth soccer players will be admitted free of charge if they have on their uniform.
• The night of the event will include raffles, a silent auction, soccer skills contests for kids for a small donation, and an opportunity for kids to be involved in the introduction of the varsity teams.
• Silent Auction prizes currently include gift cards to Olive Garden and Zardas and Blue Springs Rental and Two rounds of golf at Adam’s Pointe Golf Club.
• Admittance to the event is $4 for adults $3 for students.
• Cosentino’s Price Chopper is sponsoring the event, and we are currently searching for additional sponsors.

The Jennifer Ireland Foundation would like to thank the organizers of the “Cage Fight for Cancer”. A portion of the money raised at this event were donated to the Jennifer Ireland Foundation. More details to come as the final numbers are determined.

The 4th Annual Jennifer Ireland Foundation Golf Tournament was a huge success, raising the most money yet! The beautiful weather and large number of golfers contributed to a great day of fun golfing and raising money for a wonderful cause.
